About This Blog

As I began writing my first novel, I decided to create this blog to talk about the journey of writing a book (see more about the inspiration for this blog here).

I am inviting you along for the ride. I will post updates, accomplishments, struggles, and prayer requests here.

I believe that God has placed this dream in my heart. He gave me the idea for this book a couple of years ago while I was attending a spiritual retreat called “Tres Dias.” In fact, God had been developing this story in my heart for a number of years before then, even planting the seeds of one of the scenes in the book, which I didn’t realize until I started working on the book.

Writing a book has been the scariest, most difficult, yet most exciting and rewarding thing I’ve ever done. But I know that I can’t do this alone. I will only accomplish this God-given dream in His strength and with His guidance.

I appreciate your comments, support, and most of all, your prayers.

-Hope, Ephesians 5:15-16

P.S. Be sure to check out the “About the Book” section for a brief synopsis of the novel. I’ll add more tidbits about the story as I go along!

  1. Hope, Congratulations on taking the first steps on your journey. The path God sets before us can be hard to discern and even harder to follow. God bless you for opening your heart to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I am praying for you!

  2. Hope, it has been your dream for many years. You are a very creative and talented lady. You can do this. Let God guide your pen (er, keyboard).

I’ve had Proverbs 4:26 written on the glass pane of the door in my office for a while now: “Give careful thought to the paths of your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.”
